When your engineer runs into difficulty in a time-critical repair or needs a second opinion in what could be a safety-critical decision, a Remote Expert solution allows you to call on a wide network of experienced individuals. These experts can see the situation from anywhere in the world, offering advice or gathering further evidence.

High-quality video and audio allow a decision to be made quickly, ensuring KPIs and repair targets are met while also reducing travel requirements. Crucially, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events can be kept to a minimum, allowing you to get your customer’s aircraft operating again, as quickly as possible.

Automotive

Experienced technicians are in high demand and cannot be in two places at once. With a Remote Expert solution, a junior technician can work on the vehicle and refer to reference material through the head-mounted viewer. But should they run into difficulty they can call for advice from a senior technician, even if they are at another site.

Using the video feed, showing the problem as the technician sees it, the expert can give definitive advice. They can also capture evidence of the issue for later reporting and training.

By enabling junior technicians to work more independently in more complex situations the solution can upskill works more efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring safeguards are in place to ensure quality of work can still be maintained.

When at sea, shipping is vulnerable to all kinds of technical issues. And, while the crew usually includes an engineer, today’s complex systems can challenge any one individual. General Manufacturing

In the world of manufacture, time is money, and so too is quality. Providing your manufacturing base with a digital workflow ensures that the correct instructions are provided at the correct time, in the correct order, and can also be audited.

A digital workflow allows the worker to receive instructions so they can work hands-free. Each step is recorded with a time/date stamp. Updates to the manufacturing process are delivered without the need for extra training that would slow down production (on the job training).

Workers can call a supervisor at any time, so they can see production issues in real time. And they can capture documentary evidence (image/video) of the product for use in QA or auditing.

In modern manufacture, it’s not uncommon to have a rapidly changing production line, where multiple variants of a product can be in the same production, or even different products on the same line.

Quantity Surveying and Audit

Using wearable solutions and a Digital Workflow, auditors can attend site and conduct their survey following the workflow. They can take pictures and provide notes via voice-to-text, with all this information being stored against the workflow either locally and/or in the cloud. Once complete the workflow will provide a detailed report, containing all of the picture, video and notes taken during the survey.
